Ryan on the day: “We arrived here positive because we had a really good test here in April, unfortunately today, we were caught out by the weather. These are much warmer temperatures than we had here during the test. So we've had to spend some time today playing catch-up with our set-up. The good thing is we made some good changes which settled the car down in the front a bit and that is what I a looking for. We have an ace in our pocket for tomorrow. The guys on the Bridgestone soft compound (Alternate tire) were faster during qualifying. We only get two sets of those, one of which we need to use in the race, so I have them for qualifying tomorrow. We knew if we used them today, we would still not be fast enough for pole with my front-end a bit squirrelly, so we chose to not run as many laps today, sort the front end tonight and use our Alternates tomorrow. We'll see how it pans out but I think we should be fast."
