Ryan Returns to Montreal Print E-mail

The 2004 Molson Indy Montreal will be Hunter-Reay's second Champ Car race at the historic Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.

2004 Qualifying Stats.: Hunter-Reay has qualified in the top-ten in every event this season. He has started on the front row twice, both occasions occurred in Wisconsin. He started from the pole position in Milwaukee and earned the provisional pole and the front row at Road America.

Alternate Tire:  There will be something extra added to the equation this weekend for the fans, teams and drivers. Bridgestone has brought back their “Alternate Tire,” a higher-grip and theoretically faster Bridgestone Potenza race tire. Each car must use at least one alternate set during a race and its crew is free to use the other sets at any time during the weekend. Fans will be able to identify the “Alternate Tire” by the thick red band around the tire wall that reads “Potenza” in large white lettering.

Ryan on Montreal: "The Circuit Gilles Villeneuve is a very high-speed track and it rewards aggressive driving due to utilizing the curbs, which is a good thing for me. We have excelled on smoother, faster, bigger tracks this year and Montreal fits that combination. The circuit is amongst the highest standards of racetracks in the world and of course it has a lot of history, I am honored to race there. The Canadian race fans are some of the most supportive and energetic in the world, it is always exciting to race in front of them."
